The New Zealand Rotary Clubs Charitable Trust was founded in 27th February 1986.  It is a special trust that has permission to remit donations made by New Zealand tax residents to TRF - The Rotary Foundation.

Background to changes

Perpetual Guardian has been working with a multi-district team of Rotary leaders led by then District 9920 DGE Craig Horrocks for the last 15-16 months to bring a new operating arrangement on-line for all Rotary Foundation and Polioplus giving in Oceania, from any source – both Rotary and the public at large.

The new arrangement is a consequence of identifying important operating and legal issues in 2019.

In resolving those issues, it was identified early on the status quo was not an option and significant re-arrangement of the operating and funding structure of the NZRCCT activities was necessary.

New Operating arrangements from 1 July for New Zealand tax resident donations to TRF

From 1 July 2020, Perpetual Guardian has entered into a Management Agreement with ROZops Ltd to undertake all the operational activities associated with reporting, audit, collecting, receiving and remitting Rotary Foundation donations.

This Management Agreement is specifically provided for within the 1986 Deed.

Perpetual Guardian will continue to provide Trustee oversight of the ROZops operations.

ROZops is presently establishing a fully on-line payment and transaction facility.

ROZops will be communicating with New Zealand Rotarians about the further new operating processes.

Tax receipts will be issued by ROZops on behalf of NZRCCT and the Trustee, Perpetual Guardian.
